How We Deliver Live Fish: From Our Farm to Your Water

One of the questions we get asked most is how live fish actually get from our farm to your water. It’s a fair question, and the answer is a big part of why fishery owners and pond keepers trust us.

We work with APC, using their specialist live fish delivery service. It’s built for one job: getting live fish from A to B quickly, safely and in the same condition they left us. Here’s how it works.

The journey

1. Collected
   APC picks up your fish from our far the day before delivery.
2. In transit
   Your fish travel overnight on APC’s dedicated live fish service.
3. Delivered
   Your fish arrive with you before midday the next day.

Handled by the rules, every step

Moving live fish comes with strict rules and regulations, and we follow every one of them. From packing at the farm to the moment they reach you, everything is done to make sure your fish arrive exactly the way they left us.

Why it matters

The less time fish spend travelling, the better they settle. With collection the day before and delivery before midday, your fish spend as little time as possible on the road. They arrive ready to go straight into your pond or fishery.

Choosing your delivery date

You choose your preferred delivery date at checkout. We deliver on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

We only have a set number of delivery slots each day. If your preferred date isn’t available, that’s why, so booking early gives you the best choice of dates. We do everything we can to get your fish to you on the day you’ve chosen. If it’s ever not possible, we’ll always let you know in advance.

Getting ready for delivery day

• Make sure someone is around on the morning of delivery to receive your fish.
• Have your pond or fishery ready so your fish can go in without delay.
• Give us a contact phone number for the courier.
• If your water needs a site permit, send us a copy of your full permit, including all pages. We can’t accept the permit number on its own, and we can’t send your order without it.
